Back To Basics

 (Based on: Psalm 40:8, John 17:21-23, Romans 8:28,
I Thessalonians 5:17, I Timothy 4:12, I Peter 2:17, 2:25)

When we get back to "basics"
And start to pray the more-
Then we begin to progress
More than we did before.
If we honor Jesus
And His precious name;
We can beat the Devil
At his selfish game!
As we try the harder
To be more meek and kind...
It's then we gather patience
(And that's a real GOOD sign.)
When we follow righteousness
Instead of foolish whims;
God bestows His blessings
On those who've conquered sin.
So if you ever wonder
What your "purpose" is-
Take time to read the Bible,
Come clean, and start to LIVE!
