God's great Lovingkindness
Can quench the thirst of man-
And cause his soul to flourish
In ice or desert sand!
Sweet fruits of the Spirit
Will grow there every day...
If we plant them in our hearts,
Inviting them to stay.
The gift of Holy guidance
Is a guarantee-
When we cast off prideful ways
And make them history!
The Psalmist is describing
What Jesus has for us;
That sacred Living Water
In which we all can trust.
Methinks there is a message
Here to refresh our souls...
That one of Christ's SALVATION,
Which lets the "old man" go!
