If this were my last day
Of life upon the earth…
I believe I'd fill it with
Praise and joyous mirth!
I would tell old stories
Just to make folks laugh;
Reminiscing memories
Of the bygone past.
I'd invite them over
For some Barbeque,
With sweet corn, on-the-cob
(Homemade ice cream too.)
"Old-time" karaoke
Might be on the list…
Singing 'til the break of dawn;
Departing with a kiss!
