The yellow finch has returned
To brighten up our days...
God's surety - predicting
That Spring is on the way!
Partial to the thistle,
Their frame is quaint and small.
(Buntings are their cousins...
A "Chick-o-ree!" their call.)
I thank the Lord in Heaven
For these precious ones;
Displays of His sweet nature-
Color-kissed as by the sun!
