Why should we want "humble meekness?"
Or desire a "Purer" heart?
Why seek a "Lowly" Spirit?
(The Master SAID, for a start!)
People despised and overthrew Him.
-He grieved alone in the dark;
So much, the blood poured from Him-
(Where disciples did not hark!)
He bore our griefs and sorrows,
Sickness, pain, and EVERY sin.
Then they placed Him in a graveyard-
Where no body'd ever been.
But His Soul was for an "Offering;"
Greatest One that ever lived...
"Tis writ: This is the "BEST GIFT;"
Anyone could EVER give!
