MISSING the MARK

There is a definition
Of "sin" inside our books-
Which keeps a heart from winning,
With happiness forsook.
"Falling short" of Love's Law
And facing judgment's throne,
Can keep a soul in bondage...
In a fretful zone.
The "aim" is ETERNAL LIFE,
That precious, awesome prize;
Provided by the Savior
And His SACRIFICE.
Seems we need some "practice"
Each and every day-
To become PROFICIENT
In what God has to say.
Humans have a chance to
Make their meek amends
(And right now is good time
For mankind to begin!)
