A Sister

Sisters are necessary
To teach the value of a rose...
To a little brother
(Who'll someday need to know!)
She will break her piggybank
Just to buy a gift-
For a birthday relative
Or friend who needs a "lift."
A sister bakes surprises
Like cakes, and brownies too;
Or a fudge confection,
When you're feeling blue!
She can be a "secret" pal
Who knows what someone needs...
To furnish them a scarf she made,
Or necklace from her beads.
I think God gives us "sisters"
While we're on this earth;
So we can have a "special" FRIEND
To fill our lives with mirth!
