I think I spied two Angels
Just the other day...
While checking out a rainbow
With bright-colored rays.
They sat upon it's curved arch,
As if it were a couch-
And looked so "prim and proper"
It made me feel a slouch!
They chatted with each other
And seemed to have no cares...
Their presence was quite dazzling;
With nimbus 'round their hair.
One noticed I was watching
And gathered up her things-
Preparing for a "take-off"
On beauteous feathered wings.
They flew away as butterflies
Fluttering along...
As the rainbow faded,
Both suddenly were gone!
