Thank you for the greens and reds.
Praise God for the yellows!
Purple hues of Royal color,
Pink and blue so mellow.
Forsythia and Jonquils-
Tulips and the like.
Crocus in the morning dew...
Japonica with spikes.
All these herald Springtime,
And make our hearts feel "new."
Sweet Hope of Resurrection,
Barren winter to eschew!
But my favorite one of all-
(Aside from William's "gilly,")
Is that beauteous, graceful flower;
We call the "EASTER LILLY!"
